Covering a seat around the clock takes far more than one person. Set how many seats you need day and night, your agents' contracted hours and your shrinkage — and see the minimum team you need to hire.

How it works
- Seat-hours = seats × 12 hours × 7 days, for both the day and night halves.
- Shrinkage is the time agents are paid but not on the queue: leave, sick days, training, meetings and breaks. 25–35% is a common rule of thumb.
- Agents needed = seat-hours ÷ (contracted hours × (1 − shrinkage)), rounded up.
